We must see ourselves as Christ has called us into being. Paul prays for the Ephesian church - to know the hope of their calling, the inheritance Christ has through us and the power God gives on our behalf.

The church must walk in this hour under its proper identity in Christ in order to win the lost and build the Kingdom of God. Description: Dwelling together in the presence of God is the idea of dwelling together I unity. It is explained best through Psalm This psalm describes the unity that comes from the blessing of the Lord that reaches into our lives and unto others.

Breakthrough in neuroscience has shown that prayer and worship create an atmosphere of corporate wellbeing. This ancient truth is described through three illustrations of blessing in life. It is found in the presence of God and is necessary for any church to function as Christ intended.

Description: The church needs to be unified to see a pentacostal power to reach the lost. Description: Prayer Arsenal is a study of the various forms of prayer. The Bible teaches us that there are many facets to prayer just as there are various tools and weapons. To begin to understand the many dimensions of prayer is to begin to understand the language of the Spirit world. In this we will find the relevance of the church as well as your essential place in the body of Christ.

It is important to pray to accomplish the will of God on earth and hopefully with this study the believer will become more engaged with all the forms of prayer. Prayer is hope. Description: If we are going to be effective in prayer we need to understand what hinders our efforts. If our enemy is aware of our weaknesses then we better pay closer attention to our efforts. God is looking for those who will pray effectively and fervently to bring change for the Kingdom. It's time to step up our prayer lives.

Learn six hindrances that weaken your prayer efforts. Description: The mystery that God held throughout the ages is that the Messiah would take up His residence in us in order for us to become like Him. We were predestined to be conformed to His image.

This confident expectation is that we will represent His person and glory on earth. His glory or character is being shaped in us. This is an ever increasing activity that is happening in every believer. This is what defeats sin and the devil in our life, the ever active hope and growth in His glory. Description: We as Disciples of Christ are called to be mediators of the body of Christ. There are many relationships we must invest our efforts in to mend the body.

Paul gives us principles to achieve this through the book of Philemon. May we find our way to the heart of our Lord and heal those around us as Paul illustrates in this brief letter. Description: The resurrection has brought a new reality to mankind. We were once living in the shadows of true life and now have found reality in Christ. The Old Testament was only a shadow of Christ and now He is the substance that is eternal reality. With the resurrection comes new life and new identity to really come alive and live in its power.

Description: God has called us to witness and that witness must involve a sacrifice. A sacrifice must cost something or it is not a sacrifice and there is no greater sacrifice than laying your life down for another. Description: The response to Jesus was pure amazement. The people were in awe, astonished and overwhelmed with Him. Has the Church lost its amazement with Christ? God will bring His church into a place of amazing radiance when we again are amazed at Christ. Description: My WitnessesGod has empowered His people to be His witnesses, so what has happened to the church?

God opens doors for our witness if we pray but with prayer there must be a sacrifice. God told Joel that with a sacrifice there must be a broken heart. We must weep between the doors of prayer and the sacrifice of our lives to be an effective witness for Christ. Revelation Joel The Amen of God2. Would that you were either cold or hot!

Anysuch revolt would have been savagely been crushed: slaves who took their freedom would havebeen mercilessly punished; and Christianity would itself have been branded as revolutionary andsubversive. Given the Christian faith, liberation would come — but the time was not ripe; and tohave encouraged slaves for it and to seize it would have done infinitely more harm than good. Description: "Rend your hearts and not your garments" Preparing for the 40 day fast - Brad Stenman I. Why fast? Because Jesus invites us as believers to do so. Any invitation given by Jesus is Matthew "When you fast Your father who sees in secret will reward you openly"B. Jesus made no mistake when He spoke on fasting in the Sermon on the Mount. He knew one we respond to.

In Matthew , Jesus said if we live His words our spiritual walk will be built on wisdom, and fasting is included in that reality. Matthew "Therefore whoever hears these sayings of mine The sermon on the mount , and does them, I will liken him to a wise man who guilt his house on the rock. Jesus was setting out an invitation, "When you fast" for the spiritually hungry, Matthew , that if you desire the deep things of His heart it's available to you and fasting is one of the vehicles to experience the 'deep things of God' 2 Corinthians "For the spirit searches all things, yes, the deep things of God"Joel "Now, therefore,' Says the Lord, turn to Me with all your heart, With fasting, with weeping, and with mourning Who knows if He will turn and relent, and leave a blessing behind Him The main stumbling block of fasting is this idea that it has been reserved for the elite B.

Most who heard Jesus preach on fasting in Matthew chapters were those unable to study Christians, when the truth is that fasting is an invitation from God to ALL who follow Jesus. They were considered, in Acts 4, to be men without education in the law.

Jesus laid out an invitation to every believer who had "ears to hear" that fasting was for those who simply desire more of God and less of the world. Matthew "And when you The disciples fast Your father who sees in secret will reward you openly"Acts "Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were uneducated, common men, they were astonished and they recognized that they had been with Jesus" C. The great thing about fasting is that you don't have to hear the audible voice of God to begin a fasted lifestyle, you just have to be hungry to encounter God.

The law of the kingdom of Heaven is: as much as you want, you get. Matthew "Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness for they shall be filled"John "For God does not give the spirit by measure"B. The promise Jesus gave in Matthew , is that if we would approach him in need and hunger for the kingdom of God, He would answer! In my opinion, spiritual hunger is the greatest need when entering into a season of fasting. To become spiritually hungry we simply have to ask. Ask the Holy Spirit to create in you a spiritual hunger for the 40 day season of fasting.

Matthew "Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you"D. Examining our hearts before, during and ending the fast we must ask, are we hungry for God? Are we desperate for His presence? Because out of the place of desperation and hunger for God lives are changed and revivals are birthed.

This 40 day fast is not just a time to abstain from our flesh but also a time for Holy Spirit to wound us so deeply for Jesus that our very desires are changed. Fasting doesn't earn us anything before God but rather positions us to receive what is already ours through the work of Christ. Luke "And he The father said to him, 'Son, you are always with me, and all that I have is yours'"B. It is important to know that our fasting can never earn anything from God, we already have all things from God. Fasting is the awakening we need as believers. It is the accelerant into our inheritance as believers here on the earth.

Fasting is not pulling Gods arm to perform miracles, see the lost saved, tenderize our hearts, save cities for Jesus, etc.. God already desires those things, fasting positions us to receive those things that God already had planned and desires to perform. Matthew "The harvest truly is plentiful, but the laborers are few.
